How to Tie Your Shoe
The first step in tying one’s shoe is
Picking the pair you’d like to wear.
Then place them on your feet.
Make sure they are nicely laced,
You can even make tying your shoes
A race.
Take the end of the laces,
One in each hand,
And make two bunny ears.
Cross the loops over one another,
If you need help, Just ask your mother.
Then just pull one loop through,
So you can make the knot.
Proceed to pull the laces tight,
Now you’ve done it right!
Good Job to you,
You have now tied your own shoe.

Your poem is just right for a child learning to tie its shoes. I like the use of playful images such as laces shaped into bunny ears, and making the whole thing into a race.
I think that would be a perfect poem for my son when it is time for him to learn:) Very cute.
